Written Off, a new podcast from Lemonada Media and Black Bar Mitzvah, shines a light on InsideOUT Writers’ formerly incarcerated young authors. Host Walter Thompson-Hernández interviews writers who were inside the U.S. prison system and notable creatives like John Legend, Issa Rae, Yvonne Orji, Karamo Brown, Jay Ellis, Keke Palmer, Julio Torres, and Jesse Williams read their work. The voices of those locked up in the U.S. prison system have been all but written off, but no more.
